What the 18 months contain
Three phases of six months each, moving outward: from your relationship with yourself, to the people around you, to the team and organization you lead.
Mastery of Self
Core values and strengths, the reactive patterns and where they come from, and managing your own state, story, and strategy, in that order. Keeping your word to yourself and others, and restoring it when you don’t.
Mastery of Relationships
Communication as something two people share rather than something one person delivers to another. Influence, and the relational field: what can be said, what feels safe, and who gets to be what, in every relationship you lead.
Mastery of Organizations and Teams
Recognizing and interrupting the predictable patterns that shape how teams perform, including trust and collective anxiety. Seeing the organization as a system, so you don’t abandon an initiative before it has had time to work.
The cadence tapers on purpose. Support is heaviest at the start while new practices take hold, and the space between sessions grows as you build independence.
An hour or so a week, built into the work you already do
A Progress Pulse before each session
At least 24 hours ahead you send me recent wins, current challenges, progress since we last spoke, your effort on a 1 to 5 scale, and what you want to focus on next.
A practice for the seven days after each one
Four parts: who you’re practicing being, the tool or distinction you’ll use, what it costs you not to do it, and the actions or structures that hold it in place. The next Pulse reviews how it went.
Readings, exercises, and support
My white papers, each paired with reflection work, plus guided exercises, printable reference sheets, and a recorded webinar that opens each phase. Support from me between sessions throughout.

Why 18 months
Each phase depends on the one before it. Once you can lead yourself, the work moves to the people around you, and once those relationships are strong it moves to the team and organization you lead. Six months on each is what it takes for a new way of working to hold before the next phase builds on it.
Getting started
A free chemistry call
In 30 minutes, you tell me what you’re leading and what you want to change, and we check that your goals and the program are a good fit.
A free coaching session
If it fits, you get a full 90 minutes on something real you’re dealing with now, so you experience the coaching firsthand before you decide.
Enrollment
You enroll and we start the week of February 1. If your company is paying, there’s a short call with the person who approves it first.

What happens on the first call?
It’s a chemistry call. We talk about where you are, what you’re leading, and what you want 18 months of coaching to change, and we check whether the program fits. If it’s just not your year for it, no hard feelings at all.
How much time does it take?
Sixty minutes a week for the first six months, 60 minutes every other week for the next six, and 90 minutes a month for the last six. Add roughly an hour to an hour and a half a week between sessions for short readings and practices.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you tell me in our sessions stays between us. If your company is paying, they don’t hear what we talk about.
Is this for leaders who are struggling?
Sometimes, yes, when the leader is committed to something more, like a promotion or growth they want for themselves. If you’re a manager or HR partner thinking about a leader who’s struggling, start with this question: what feedback have they received? Often the answer is none, or a single conversation with no follow-up. Clear, consistent feedback is usually the first step. Coaching works best when the leader chooses it.
Can my company pay for it?
Yes. The fee is the same whether you pay or your company does, and what we talk about stays between you and me.
Do I have to do the full 18 months?
Yes. This program is the current form of 20 years of coaching, and what I’ve found is that lasting change takes sustained work. The hours taper as you go, so the last six months ask for one 90-minute session a month.
How is this different from working with a mentor?
A mentor shares what worked on their own path. This is 18 months of work on how you lead, built around your goals, with concrete tools for practice between every session.
