Design Your Own Personal Growth Curriculum with a Little Help from AI

If you’re a high performer, you probably don’t need another resolution or motivational quote.

What you do need is clarity on where you want to grow next, and how to structure that growth in a way that’s actually sustainable.

One of my favorite personal development mentors, Brendon Burchard, once said:

“High performers don’t wait to be told what to learn. They build their own curriculum.”

Most leadership growth doesn’t come from a single course, coach, or training. It comes from asking better questions, taking ownership of your next step, and committing to habits that compound over time.

But building your own development path? That can feel overwhelming.

That’s where AI has become a game-changer for me and for many of my clients.

Not as a productivity hack. Not to write emails or summarize meetings. (Though I like it for these things too!) But as a thinking partner.

Try This: Build Your Personal Growth Curriculum (Prompt Included)

Here’s your prompt of the month that you can copy and paste directly into your favorite AI tool. Personalize it with your goals, and see what it opens up.

Prompt to Copy:

Act as an experienced coach and learning strategist. Help me design a personal development curriculum tailored to my goals as a leader. Ask me 5–7 deep questions to clarify what skills, habits, or mindset shifts I should focus on this year. Then recommend 3 areas of focus, a book or resource for each, a habit to practice, and a journaling question to reflect on weekly. Make it feel personal, doable, and motivating, not overwhelming.

Start there. Don’t overthink it. Just try the prompt and follow whatever question or insight resonates most.

You might be surprised by how much clarity and momentum show up when you build your own curriculum, and let AI act as a support system along the way.
